Sombath Somphone, a prominent Lao human rights advocate, was abducted in 2012 after being stopped by the police. He’s been missing for almost three and a half years. While the government continues to deny responsibility for his disappearance, there’s one person who hasn’t lost hope: his wife, Shui-Meng Ng. She’s been fighting each day since to hold the government accountable. Shui-Meng brought the call for her husband’s freedom and the story of his important work to the Oslo Freedom Forum.
