Sombath Somphone, a prominent Lao human rights advocate, was abducted on December 15, 2012, after being stopped by the police. He is still missing today. While the government continues to deny responsibility for his disappearance, there’s one person who hasn’t lost hope: his wife, Shui-Meng Ng. She’s been fighting each day since to hold the government accountable. Shui-Meng brought the call for her husband’s freedom and the story of his important work to the Oslo Freedom Forum.
