Abraham Jimenez Enoa is an exiled Cuban journalist, columnist for the Washington Post, and co-founder of El Estornudo, the first independent Cuban magazine dedicated to literary journalism. He spoke at the 2023 Oslo Freedom Forum, sharing his story about speaking louder than the Cuban dictatorship in order to elevate the call for action against tyranny.

Abraham Jiménez Enoa is a columnist for the Washington Post and the co-founder of El Estornudo, one of the first independent Cuban magazines dedicated to literary journalism. He is also the author of “La isla oculta,” or “The Hidden Island,”  a collection of stories of ordinary Cubans living in hardship under the dictatorship. In 2022, he was awarded the International Press Freedom Award by the Committee to Protect Journalists.
