Escaping Iran’s Dungeons

Iranian author Marina Nemat gives the audience the agonizing account of her two-year imprisonment in the infamous Evin Prison in Tehran. She describes how, at the age of 16, she was subjected to barbaric methods of torture and was sentenced to death. Only by agreeing to a forced marriage with a prison guard was she able to escape. Nemat emphasizes the enormous power of testimonies, as they are the greatest weapon to exact justice for the victims of the Iranian regime.
