Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit is a pro-democracy activist and leader of Thailand’s opposition Future Forward Party. He was elected lawmaker in the 2019 Thai general elections but was stripped of his parliamentary seat by the Constitutional Court during the civil-military rule of Prayut Chan-o-cha. The Court also dissolved his Future Forward Party after holding it in violation of political donations laws. Juangroongruangkit made Time’s 100 Next list in 2019 for his advocacy and fight for democracy in Thailand.
