Akida Pulat

Akida Pulat is a Uyghur activist. She takes the stage at the 2021 Oslo Freedom Forum to discuss how China’s mass network of concentration camps and abuse has impacted her family and shares what companies, organizations, governments, and the general public should do in response to the Chinese government’s atrocities.

Uyghur activist

Akida Pulat is a grassroots Uyghur activist and a member of Campaign for Uyghurs. Through her work, she raises awareness about human rights abuses in the Uyghur Region and the detention of her mother, Rahile Dawut, a renowned professor and folklorist, by the Chinese regime. Dawut was sentenced to life in prison on bogus grounds in September 2023.
