On the 2023 Oslo Freedom Forum stage, she reveals the human rights abuses of Alexander Lukashenko’s regime, Lukashenko’s corrupt involvement with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, and offers a beacon of hope in the fight against tyranny.

Hanna Liubakova is a Belarusian journalist, analyst, and non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council. She has written about the latest developments in Belarus for the Washington Post, The Economist, Open Democracy, and the Conversationalist. Liubakova started her career at the only independent Belarusian channel, Belsat TV, where she worked as a correspondent and presenter. She was a recipient of the Václav Havel Journalism Fellowship at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Czechia, as well as the World Press Institute Fellowship in the United States.
