Evgeniia
Belkina
Head of Volunteer Service at Viasna Human Rights Center
Evgeniia Belkina is a human rights activist activist focused on documenting human rights violations in Belarus. In response to escalating repression and restricted access to information, she initiated large-scale automation in 2020, enhancing efficiency in tracking human rights abuses and ensuring the preservation of evidence despite government efforts to suppress it. Leading a team of human rights professionals both inside and outside Belarus, Belkina has established work standards, digital security protocols, and open-source intelligence methods to protect activists and maximize impact. She trains volunteers in modern investigative techniques. Her work not only addresses immediate challenges but also creates a lasting model for human rights organizations worldwide.
