
Marcela Turati Muñoz is a Mexican investigative journalist,author, and reporter for ;Proceso magazine. She is also the -founder of ;Periodistas de a Pie (Journalists on Foot), a network dedicated to the training of journalists. Turati has gained international acclaim for her reporting on the consequences of Mexico’s devastating drug war. In 2013, she received the ;Louis Lyons Award for Conscience and Integrity in Journalism, granted by the Nieman Foundation of Harvard University. She is also the author of “Fuego Cruzado,” a book that tells the stories of the countless victims of drug-related violence in Mexico.
