
Leah Siegel is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. Her debut album with the Brooklyn-based band Firehorse, “And So They Ran Faster…,” was released in 2011. It includes the song “If You Don’t Want To Be Alone,” which Siegel wrote for a commercial for the Topsy Foundation. The commercial won a prestigious Clio Award and a Grand LIA. Firehorse released a second album, “Pills from Strangers,” in 2013. Siegel also fronts the soul/R&B band Brooklyn Boogaloo Blowout and sings in the Citizens Band cabaret collective.
Siegel co-wrote the theme for the TV series “Haven” with Andre Fratto and has worked ;has worked with Ja Rule, Sean Lennon, and Fugees collaborator John Forté. She also launched the project Leisure Cruise with Dave Hodge of the Broken Social Scene and Basement Jaxx. Siegel serves as a mentor for the Art Start’s One Mic Collective Emerging Artist-in-Residence program.
