Larry Diamond is a professor of political science and
sociology at Stanford University and an authoritative expert on the
democratization of developing countries. A senior fellow at the Hoover Institute, Diamond directs the Center for Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. He has written and edited 36 books and is the founding
co-editor of the National Endowment for Democracy’s Journal of Democracy.
