Danilo “El Sexto” Maldonado

Cuban graffiti artist and activist

Danilo Maldonado, better known as “El Sexto,” is a Cuban graffiti artist and activist. In the face of constant threats from the government, he uses his art as a form of creative dissent. El Sexto was arrested by the Cuban regime for painting two pigs with the names “Fidel” and “Raul.” Now free, he refuses to be silenced and uses his art to call for freedom for the Cuban people.
