Kristelle Mardini is the chief operating officer of the Lebanese Institute for Market Studies (LIMS), the leading free-market think tank in Lebanon. In recognition of the impact of LIMS, Kristelle received the 2024 Templeton Freedom Award for the groundbreaking work in eliminating Lebanon’s central bank subsidies program. This reform eliminated price controls that had caused severe shortages of fuel, electricity, and medicine, helping restore access to essential goods and fulfill basic needs in Lebanon.
