Irma Dimitradze is a journalist and communications manager at Gazeti Batumelebi, an independent Georgian media organization co-founded in 2001 by Sakharov Prize laureate Mzia Amaglobeli. In 2024, before Georgia’s national elections, she led an investigative report uncovering the ruling party’s access to tens of thousands of voters’ sensitive personal data. Since 2025, Irma has advocated internationally for Georgian press freedom and for the release of Amaglobeli, the country’s first female political prisoner since its independence in 1991.
