Dr. Álvaro Salas-Castro is President and CEO of The Reynolds Foundation, a global philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing freedom and democracy, education, and medical research. He is also Founder of the Demo Lab Foundation, a Costa Rican-based civic innovation organization and architect of BLISS Summit, a global ecosystem focused on making freedom investible. An expert in philanthropy and family offices, Salas-Castro holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and International Affairs from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University’s Brooks School of Public Policy, and an MBA from INCAE Business School. Under his guidance, The Reynolds Foundation has made freedom and democracy a strategic philanthropic priority.
