Ana Corina Sosa is a Venezuelan-born activist who has dedicated herself to championing democracy, human rights, and the plight of Venezuelan exiles on the world stage. She is also the globally recognized representative of her mother, María Corina Machado, Venezuela’s leading opposition figure. Having left Venezuela in 2012 for her own safety, Sosa built a life in New York, earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, and accepted numerous honors on her mother’s behalf, including the 2024 Sakharov Prize and the 2025 Heroes of Democracy Award. Most notably, she took the stage in Oslo on December 10, 2025, to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. She is one of the most recognized advocates for freedom and democratic accountability in Latin America today.
