Public discourse has become more polarized and poisonous, especially for human rights defenders facing online harassment and smear campaigns. In this workshop, participants will discuss the importance of counterspeech and learn Future of Free Speech's toolkit on hate speech and disinformation. They also can try out the soon-to-be-launched AI-powered app (The Freequalizer), which helps social media users respond to online hate speech with counterspeech methods.
