Rick Doblin is the founder and executive director of the nonprofit research organization, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). At the 2018 Oslo Freedo Forum, Doblin highlights a veteran’s story of healing after using the psychedelic drug MDMA and describes other potential successes of the treatment. Doblin’s 30 years of research provide hope for those who are suffering from PTSD, particularly the human rights defenders who have risked everything and endured incredible hardship in the fight for global freedom and democracy.
