Founder of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies and Researcher focused on PTSD

Rick Doblin is the founder and former executive director of the nonprofit research organization, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), founded in 1986 with the goal of using psychedelics and marijuana for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other psychiatric conditions. Doblin received his doctorate in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He was among the first to be certified by Dr. Stanislav Grof as a practitioner of holotropic breathwork, a discipline that uses breathing techniques for therapeutic effects.
