Abdulrahman Al-Mawwas is a co-founder of the Syrian Civil Defense, also known as the White Helmets. The White Helmets act as first responders after airstrikes and bombings in Syria, rescuing civilians from the rubble. Al-Mawwas takes to the OFF stage to discuss the White Helmet’s work and mission, and their volunteers have saved over 92,000 lives since the organization’s inception in 2013.
