Ecuadorean indigenous leader Guadalupe Llori shares her story of imprisonment for speaking out against the government of Rafael Correa. After publicly criticizing the government for a violent crackdown on protestors in the district that she governs, Llori was arrested in her home by an army commando team backed by tanks and helicopters. Llori attributes her release to the work of international human rights groups such as the Human Rights Foundation and urges the world to show more solidarity with prisoners of conscience across the globe.
