Victoria Villarruel is an Argentinian lawyer and president of
the Center for Legal Studies on Terrorism and its Victims (CELTYV). After
receiving her law degree, Villarruel established CELTYV to document terrorist
crimes committed from 1969 to 1979 in Argentina. She promotes legal rights for
Argentinian victims of terrorism while documenting their stories and providing
legal counseling for their families. Her most recent book, “Los Llaman… Jóvenes
Idealistas (They Call Them… Young Idealists),” sheds light on the lives of
victims of terrorism in Argentina during the 1970s.
