Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was detained in Iran in April 2016 and was held hostage for six years over a debt dispute between Iran and the United Kingdom. She was released in March 2022 after a long campaign. Her case led to a UK Parliamentary Inquiry on how Britain handles hostage diplomacy. She’s a project manager at Thomson Reuters Foundation and currently lives in London with her daughter and husband.
