
Lisa Sánchez is the executive director of Mexico United against Crime (MUCD), a Mexican nongovernmental organization that has been working on citizen security, justice, and drug policy issues since 1998. Sánchez is a drug policy expert who from 2012 to 2018 directed the Drug Policy Programme at MUCD, where she also collaborated with the U.K.-based think tank Transform Drug Policy Foundation. In previous years, she worked for the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission of the Organization of American States, the Federal Government of Mexico, the youth-lead organization Espolea, and the International AIDS Society. Sánchez is also the author of several publications on drug policy and is a regular contributor to national and international media.
