Bryan Fogel is an Academy Award-winning film director, producer, author, and playwright. His 2017 documentary Icarus, an indexical report on the truth surrounding doping in sports, won Best Documentary Feature at the 90th Academy Awards. What was initially a probe into the world of performance-enhancing drugs quickly became a much larger political conversation on the Russian government and its ties with Grigory Rodchenkov, the mastermind behind the state-run doping institution. Bryan is currently working on two new documentary features, and a documentary series for Netflix. Prior to Icarus, Bryan co-wrote and produced the 2013 off-Broadway comedy, Jewtopia. The play, which became one of the longest-running and fastest-recouping productions in Off-Broadway history, inspired the feature film adaptation which Bryan directed in 2012.
