Anjan Sundaram is an award-winning journalist who has reported from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, covering topics ranging from conflicts, political crises, and rainforest communities in central Africa to artificial intelligence, the rise of nationalism in India, and gun culture in Cambodia. He has reported for The New York Times, the Washington Post, The Associated Press, and Fortune magazine, and his writings have appeared in publications including The Guardian, Foreign Policy, and the New York Review of Books. Sundaram won a Reuters prize for his reporting on Pygmy tribes in Congo’s rainforest and a Frontline Club award in 2015 for his war correspondence in the Central African Republic. Sundaram has also been a television presenter for VICE and Channel News Asia and a guest on programs on CNN, France 24, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, among others.
