Tania Bruguera is an award-winning Cuban installation and performance artist who explores the relationship between art, activism, and social change and delves into issues related to power dynamics and repressive control in Cuba. Many of her works critique and reimagine events in Cuban history, as she encourages her viewers to consider visible and invisible forms of state-sanctioned oppression.
