Samuel Bickett is a lawyer, activist, and researcher specializing in human rights, economic sanctions, and rule of law, with a particular focus on Hong Kong and China. He is the convenor of the US-Hong Kong Policy Roundtable, a collaboration forum for Hong Kong advocacy organizations, and the founder and principal of Bickett Law & Policy. Previously based in Hong Kong, he served two stints as a political prisoner in 2021 and 2022 before being expelled by the Hong Kong government.
