Environmental lawyer and executive secretary, Congolese Alert for the Environment and Human Rights
Maître Olivier Bahemuke Ndoole is a Congolese environmental lawyer. He won the 2023 Front Line Defenders World Prize for his work around Virunga National Park, and he has won the 2024 Global Citizen World Prize under the categories of climate, reforestation, and nature. Known as the “Green Lawyer,” he co-founded the Congolese Alert for the Environment and Human Rights (ACEDH), which focuses on climate litigation, land governance, and the protection of environmental defenders.
