Bota Jardemalie, a Harvard Law graduate and New York attorney, is a Kazakh human rights defender and political refugee in the European Union. She has defended activists and torture victims and worked on Interpol reform, personal sanctions, misuse of mutual legal cooperation, crypto-currency legislation, and abuse of AML/CFT law. Bota has been a target of transnational repression.
