Amanda Strayer

Human rights attorney

Through her work at Human Rights First, Amanda Strayer coordinates the Targeted Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Sanctions Coalition, a group of more than 330 NGOs around the world using Magnitsky-style sanctions and other legal authorities to hold human rights abusers and corrupt actors accountable in the United States, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. In this role, she serves as the primary liaison with U.S. government personnel and assists civil society groups around the world working to make recommendations for sanctions. Previously, Amanda has worked with Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, the South African Human Rights Commission, and Women for Women International and is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Virginia.
