Alejandra Serrate is a Bolivian attorney and human rights activist who is currently campaigning for the release of political prisoner and former governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho. Alejandra began her activism as the founder of “Resistencia Femenina”, a women’s protest group that focused on demanding adherence to the Bolivian constitution after the 2016 referendum. After Morales’ resignation, Alejandra became an adviser to Santa Cruz’s elected governor, Luis Fernando Camacho, but returned to activism after his arrest.
