As a result, those who are arbitrarily detained must seek justice and freedom beyond their domestic legal systems, instead through international legal mechanisms. Lawyers and experts in the field will discuss the best methods to seek international justice, from UN treaty bodies and Special Procedures to regional human rights mechanisms and universal jurisdiction.
