Irina Schoulgin-Nyoni serves as Sweden’s ambassador for human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. As a career diplomat, her most recent positions include Africa director at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and ambassador to Mozambique. She’s also served as deputy permanent representative at the Swedish Mission to the United Nations in New York and as minister counselor at the UN Mission in Geneva, focusing on human rights.
