Venâncio Mondlane is Mozambique’s main opposition leader and is considered the legitimate winner of October’s fraudulent presidential elections. Since then, he has led the country’s largest-ever movement contesting election rigging. A writer, political analyst, and former lawmaker, he has inspired a popular people’s movement seeking democratic change and a break from 50 years of rule of the governing FRELIMO party.
