Elena Kostyuchenko is a Russian journalist and LGBT activist best known for her in-depth reporting on social issues, human rights, and LGBTQ+ topics in Russia. She began her career in journalism at the age of 17 and gained prominence for her fearless storytelling, often exposing injustices and corrupt practices. Kostyuchenko has written for Novaya Gazeta, one of Russia’s few independent media outlets, and her work has received international recognition. Despite facing harassment, arrests, and physical assaults, she continues to be a bold voice advocating for marginalized communities in Russia.
