Salman Khairalla, also known as Abu-Dijlah, “The Father of the Tigris River,” is the co-founder of Humat Dijlah, “Tigris River Protectors,” and leads the environmental activism movement in Iraq. Transitioning from sectarian conflict, he advocates the preservation of the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers. His movement, committed to environmental and human rights, educates and advocates for sustainable water usage, ensuring Iraq’s natural resources endure from political, economic, and social perspectives.
