Elsa Peraldi is a human rights, anti-corruption, and democracy advocate with over 18 years of experience advancing accountability and good governance across Latin America, Africa, and beyond. She currently serves as the senior research strategy advisor for the Human Rights Foundation and as advisor for EG Justice. Her career spans leadership roles at USAID’s Anti-Corruption Center, Global Integrity — where she pioneered a widely recognized kleptocracy work stream — and nearly a decade as program director at EG Justice, where she led Magnitsky sanctions filings and asset repatriation advocacy. She is a founding member of the Opening Central Africa coalition that has led anti-kleptocracy campaigns. Elsa brings deep expertise in anti-kleptocracy research, strategic policy development, and building coalitions that empower communities and civil society to demand accountability from those in power.
