Former head of Amnesty International USA Jack Healey arguesthat today’s human rights movement has lost momentum. He believes that we must motivate young people around the world to educate themselves and take up the fight for universal human rights. Healey asserts that the answer lies not in bureaucratic international institutions like the United Nations, but in the banding together of individual human rights organizations and other NGOs to work together to create lasting change.
