British-Russian playwright Natalia Pelevine talks about her lifelong involvement in the Russian Pro-democracy movement. She explains how researching the 2002 Moscow theatre hostage crisis led her to become involved with Russian activists. She also talks about her work lobbying for the passage of the Magnitsky Act, as well as her role in exposing a number of corruption cases in Russia and organizing protests.Pelevine explains that she has chosen to move back to Russia to provide support to local activists at a crucial moment in the movement for pro-democracy.
