
Kimberley Motley admits that she first started practicing law in Afghanistan for the money. But that’s not the reason she stayed. Through her work in the Afghan courts, Motley strove to protect people who had no idea that the law was on their side. She explains how she took this passion for the rule of law global, taking cases around the world. Motley also describes her current case: defending a fellow Oslo Freedom Forum speaker, the imprisoned Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim.
