As chairman of Fighters for a Free North Korea, Park Sang-hak leads a movement to bring truth, democracy, and a glimpse of the outside world into the hermit kingdom of North Korea. Park details the heavily anti-American education of his childhood, and how he and his family escaped North Korea by first traveling to China, and later to South Korea. As an activist in South Korea, Park intends to break the North Korean regime monopoly on information using weather balloons laden with human rights and pro-democracy literature, DVDs, USB drives, and transistor radios.
