Anastasia Lin is a Chinese-Canadian actress, former beauty queen, and activist who uses her public platform to speak out against human rights abuses committed by the Chinese government. At the first Oslo Freedom Forum in Johannesburg, she discussed how she’s working to bring more attention to these rights violations – in particular the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners – and how China’s increasing influence on the African continent should be worrying to rights activists.
