An Artist’s Call for Vietnam’s Freedom

Mai Khoi, Vietnamese pop singer and activist, garnered international attention after nominating herself to run in Vietnam’s 2016 parliamentary elections, a move that subsequently saw her banned from singing in her country. At OFF in Taiwan, she shared the progress of the continued fight for freedom of speech and expression, and explained how she is putting pressure on Facebook to stop censoring Vietnamese activists.
