Child marriage abolitionist Arzina Begum talks about her rural village in Bangladesh, where one in three girls are married before the age of 15. She shares her own story of how she defied her parents when they tried to marry her off at the age of 12. Instead,Begum sought the help of a local children’s organization to stop her marriage and give her the opportunity to continue her education. Today, she is the first girl from her family and her village to attend university, and she actively works to support local girls and stop child marriage in Bangladesh.
