In a video message, Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei accepts the inaugural Václav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent at the Oslo Freedom Forum. Forbidden by Chinese authorities to travel to receive his award, Ai explains that he is also barred from using the internet and from communicating with journalists. He shares his frustration at the lack of human rights in China and urges his fellow artists to stand up against this repression and help build a better society for those who do not have the freedom to speak out for themselves.
