Ti-Anna Wang is a Chinese human rights advocate, born in 1989 and named to commemorate the victims of the Tiananmen Square massacre. In 2002, when she was 13, herfather—leading democracy activist Wang Bingzhang—was arrested for his vocal opposition to communism. Even though there was no evidence presented against him, he was convicted on charges of espionage and is currently serving a life sentence in prison. Since her father’s arrest and conviction, Wang has launched an ;international ;campaign for his release.
