Ti-Anna Wang is a Chinese human rights advocate, born in 1989 and named to commemorate the victims of the Tiananmen Square massacre. In 2002, when she was 13, her father—leading democracy activist Wang Bingzhang—was arrested for his vocal opposition to communism. Even though there was no evidence presented against him, he was convicted on charges of espionage and sentenced to life in prison. Wang has advocated for the release of her father for over a decade and established a legal career in China and Human rights related litigation.
