Nikolai Astrup is the Norwegian Minister of International Development. Astrup began serving in Parliament in 2009 and was elected leader of the Conservative Party in Oslo in 2012. Previously, Astrup was a political advisor to both the Conservative Party and the former mayor of Oslo. He has also worked in management consulting and was the editor of the journal Minerva from 2001 to 2008. Astrup holds a master’s degree in European politics and governance from the London School of Economics and Politics.
