Lina Al Hathloul is a Saudi activist known for her relentless advocacy to free her sister, Loujain Al-Hathloul. Loujain, only twenty-nine at the time, was arrested and detained in 2018. The Saudi regime charged Loujain for her daring protests on the ban against women driving. Since the arrest, the Saudi government has lifted this ban, though activists like Loujain remain imprisoned. Lina and her brother Walid continue to bring to light the widespread mistreatment and torture of prisoners such as their sister at the hands of the Saudi government.
