Ine Eriksen Søreide

Ine Eriksen Søreide is the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Previously, she served as the Minister of Defense from 2013 to 2017. Eriksen Søreide is a member of the Conservative Party of Norway and was first elected to Parliament in 2005. Born in Lørenskog, she studied law at the University of Tromsø, where she got involved in local politics. In 2000, she became a member of the Conservative Party Central Executive Committee and chairman of the Young Conservatives of Norway. Eriksen Søreide previously worked as a producer at Metropol TV and as a trainee at Grette Law Firm.
